Yet this was done with reluctance and a very high degree of suspicion was still prevalent among the officers...

Then the bicycle saw a melon boy leaving….. The boy wore the apparel of all melon boys… that is winged collared shirt….stripped tie… yellow waist coat….. grey pinstriped trousers….. a tail coat and regulation top hat.
He was obviously going to… or… just coming from a ball….. For it is a well known fact…. of which I am sure you are...
